The government has committed to aggressive sanitation targets (e.g. 95% wastewater treatment rate in cities by 2020) which has in turn spurred a strong sanitation market already. The study utilized a combination of expert interviews, secondary research, and synthesis along with consumer insight interviews conducted across Shenyang, Changsha, and Mianyang.
